WHO WE ARE
We are a community of fashion lovers, women rights advocates, and environmentalists on a mission to change the industry’s harmful practices on people and our planet. We make sustainability accessible and inclusive across our three pillars of work: education, advocacy, and transparency.
WHAT WE DO
Education
Our films, investigative stories, and classroom lectures engage citizens with fashion’s impacts on garment workers and the climate. Our Ambassador community has grown to over 1,000 change-makers with 13 Community Organizers across the globe, including: Los Angeles, New York City, London, and Amsterdam.
Advocacy
We lead campaigns for living wages, gender and climate justice, and long-term systemic change at the policy level. We created the viral #PayUp campaign to unlock $22 billion in unpaid contracts during the pandemic, mobilizing 270,000 signatures and building a network of 30 civil society organizations to protect the women who make our clothes.
Transparency
We rate fashion brands and dialogue with them about how they can better partake in sustainable practices throughout their supply chains. We regularly host events that inform the public, make noise, and bring change to the industry, including working with press to recenter fashion’s conversation on the impacts being made on people and the planet.

OUR VISION
As garment workers, organizers, and fashion-lovers, we are saying enough. Ending exploitation and starvation wages in fashion demands bold action, visionary new laws, strong brand accountability, and centering workers voices. PayUp Fashion, a long-term campaign started by Remake, has developed these 7 Actions with the input of garment workers and experts in labor, law, and grassroots organizing.
